Kids' Night Out: Camp Kool Kids

Kids...get ready for a fun-filled "Camp Kool Kids", a daytime adventure created just for you! Enjoy snacks, fun games & activities, craft projects, and movie, all with a “Camp Kool Kids” theme! Parents, take this opportunity to check out a new restaurant for lunch, enjoy a movie, or enjoy quiet time spent at home, with the confidence of knowing that your child will be well taken care of by our friendly, trained Recreation staff. Spring Egg Hunt

Egg Hunt Schedule:
Ages 2 & Under: 10:00 a.m.
Ages 3-5 Years: 10:20 a.m.
Ages 6-8 Years: 10:40 a.m.

Everyone is invited to shake their tail feathers at the Egg Hunts, Craft and Game booths, Kids Fun Zone, and Pictures with Mr. Bunny! This exciting day is co-sponsored by the City of Upland and the Upland Foothill Kiwanis Club.

EGG-Streme Egg Hunt Adventure For Adults

Join Upland Recreation and Community Services for our first-ever EGG-Streme Egg Hunt Adventure For Adults! Join us at 6:00 p.m. for a bite to eat at one of our on-site food vendors, musical tunes from DJ Matthew, fun & competitive games, and photos with the bunny. Then, at 8:00 p.m., it’s lights out for our Adventure! Bring a flashlight, bag or basket for your goodies and friends to experience hunting in the dark for the opportunity to win over $10,000 (updated 3/9/23) in egg-cellent prizes! Eggs will be filled with candy, raffle tickets, and prize tickets to redeem for items donated from our community. Approximately 3750 eggs will be scattered throughout San Antonio Park’s major baseball field. Don’t miss out on a chance to find the Golden Eggs!
Tickets available through Thursday, March 30, or until the event is sold out. Tickets will not be sold on site. This event is sure to sell out, with limited participation tickets available.

- Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
- Participants must register prior to event and provide ID at the time of check-in.
- Devices or nets are not allowed to help pick-up eggs during the event.
- Participants must bring their own flashlight and bag/basket for goodies and prizes.
- Closed-toe shoes are required.

Upland Recreation and Community Services is excited to continue our partnership with The Sawdust Factory to provide Spring "Take & Make" Craft Kits with a Spring flair for kids of all ages! Yes, adults are included, too!
Each craft kit created exclusively for Upland Recreation and Community Services participants contains a Spring themed wood cut-out, paint, and paint brush. All that's needed is your creativity and perhaps some glue and Sharpie marker to provide a personal touch from the comfort of your own home.

Lettuce Grow A Salad Garden

Spring is in the air! Leaves are appearing on trees, flowers are blooming and smelling sweet, birds are singing, and bees are buzzing. It's time to plant your garden...your salad garden! Join us with a San Bernardino Master Gardener, Janeen Williams, for a fun and educational experience, as you learn to plant, grow, care for, and reap benefits of your own garden. All participants will receive kits with four different vegetable types to begin your own starter kit for home! Register early...space is limited!

Butterflies In May

Children, enjoy the beauty and changes of the butterfly by experiencing its changing life cycle from caterpillar to chrysalis to butterfly. Each child participating in this special event will receive a Butterflies In May kit, complete with caterpillar home, supplies to decorate the home, and a live caterpillar to watch its changes. All that is needed is imagination! All supplies provided.

2023-2024 VolunTeen Program
Ages: 14-17 Yrs

The VolunTeen Program is a year-round program, June 2023 to June 2024, with an emphasis on summer programming. VolunTeens will the opportunity to broaden their horizons and experience what it means to help out in their community, while assisting the Upland Recreation and Community Services Division staff with summer programming and special events located in Recreation facilities, schools, and local parks. After the conclusion of summer programs, other volunteer opportunities will be available throughout the year. The VolunTeen Program will culminate with a recognition event in the Spring of 2024 for those with 25 or more volunteered hours. To be eligible to participate and for a letter of accomplishment and recommendation, all VolunTeens must volunteer a minimum of 25 hours from June 1st through December 1st.
VolunTeen Interest forms will be available in office and online Monday, April 3 through Thursday, May 18. All completed forms must be submitted to the Upland Recreation and Community Services Division located at 651 W. 15th Street, Upland or via email to kcooper@uplandca..us, no later than Thursday, May 18.
Space is limited...Submit your Interest Form early! Payment is due upon receipt of VolunTeen Interest Form. Financial aid may be available for qualified applicants.
