To provide superior service to city staff, enabling them to meet or exceed citizen expectations and reduce costs through the effective integration of technology and efficient business processes.

Operational Strategies

The Information Technology division serves our community by researching, developing, implementing and supporting effective and innovative use of technology through teamwork, collaboration, innovation, and accountability to our departmental partners. Responsibilities include planning, developing, implementing, supporting the technology systems and networks and use of Media Services to increase community involvement throughout the City of Upland.


IT oversees two data centers, supports over 400 desktops and laptop workstations, and maintains numerous critical computer applications. The City’s telephone system, wireless cell phones and network of printers and copiers are also supported by IT, as well as this public-facing website and Upland's local channel 3.
