Living in Upland

Animal Services - Introduction

The City of Upland’s Animal Services Division seeks to:

  • Promote animal-related public safety and welfare in the community.
  • Increase the number of animals returned to their owners through the microchip program.
  • Improve the adoption rates of animals that come through the facility.

The City of Upland Community Development Department oversees and facilitates the day-to-day operations of the Animal Services Division. The Animal Services Division impounds the stray and homeless cats and dogs found abandoned or lost within the local community. We are proactive in our approach to saving lives and seek to give sheltered animals every opportunity to be reclaimed by their owner, adopted, or rescued.
