This course will teach lay rescuers how to recognize and treat life-threatening emergencies, including cardiac arrest and choking for the adult, child and infant victim. Participants will learn to recognize the signs of sudden cardiac arrest, heart attack, and stroke, relieve foreign body airway obstruction, perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and use an automated external defibrillator. A two-year certification will be provided upon completion of this course. A $20.00 supply fee is payable to the instructor at the beginning of class. Instructor: Deborah Parsons, Certified with American Heart Association and American Health and Safety Institute.
