Councilmember Stone has been a resident of Upland since 1979 where her daughter attended Upland schools.  She has worked nearly 30 years at Stone Funeral Home.

In addition to her professional career, she has been an active member of the Rotary Club of Upland since 1994 serving on the Board of Directors, as well as President.

In assuming her position on the City Council, she has been appointed to the Finance & Economic Development Committee and the Police & Fire Committee.  She has also been appointed to represent the City Council on the Sister City Association and the Water Facility Authority.  She serves as a member of the County Solid Waste Task Force, and as an alternate to the Inland Empire Utility Agency Policy Committee.  Her regional appointments include serving on the Independent Cities Risk Management Authority and as an alternate on the Inland Empire Utility Agency.  She may be contacted at debbiestoneforupland@gmail.com.
